After hearing about her book at a women's empowering conference. I choose to check it out on-line. I usually read the negative reviews first to see if it is worth buying but I noticed the reviews were either short with no substance or a negative comment to promote their own book so even more I was curios to read the book. And I will not give it all away because I would encourage others to read (great Christmas stocking stuffers for all women out there) but just in the first few chapters I learned that having a significant other that supports you is key, always keeping business relationships in good terms because you never know where they might lead, and starting your dream job will not always give you the flexibility it seems it will give was helpful tips. Commonsense but sometime you need to hear it from others. Her book reminded me of the books that Mika Brzezinski has written - sharing your personal life and lessons learned to empower women. I can't wait to read any other books she might write!!Product details

This book walked me through the path that I took as a mom entrepreneur. I wish someone had written this book before so that I could have been better prepared for that path. Well written, to the point, and an excellent an guide for all moms who are or want to be entrepreneurs. The Bible for women in business!
Even though all of our stories have different details, we all share similar obstacles and long for balance. Luly B. shares insight on her particular journey and helps us understand that balance is B.S. and that it's ok that we aren't the perfect mothers we put pressure on ourselves to be.
Luly helps us "working moms" not feel guilty about having it all. She shows us how her difficult life choices has helped her find some sort of balance. It is all about perspective and the choices we make. It is a great inspirational read.
This is a quick read that doesn't skimp on quality. In short, work-life balance is what you make of it. Do what you love and everything else will fall into place. Great message and great to see that someone else is going through the same thing we go through. I wouldn't say this is a "How to" or "self-help" book. Instead, it is narrating one experience that teaches us that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Well done.
Luly B has it right again. I am proud to be a small part of Luly's "army" and thanks to her have learned that it's perfectly ok to accept help, especially when it is being offered. My decision to be a part-time consultant so that I can be home with my kids afterschool gives me the flexibility that works for me. If you are struggling and going through the guilt a lot of us face about working and being a mom - buy this book. This book is about decisions, not judgement. Read it, you won't regret it!
I started reading the book and couldn't stop! If you're a mom who is an entrepreneur or an intrapreneur and you want to know how to build your career or business around your family, your priorities and your LIFE, you need to buy and read this book! Inspiring, practical, and motivational, Luly B. is the real deal when it comes to being a professional mom and empowering women to have it ALL!
I just finished reading "Balance is Bull$***!" I believe ANY working or volunteering woman will benefit from reading it. I had the privilege of working with Luly for a year. She's genuine! I have experienced her personality, drive, professionalism, as well as her love of family. Keeping in touch by social media, I have watched her AND her business grow. She has done a superb job of sharing in the book how others may also live life to the fullest while loving work and having it all...except her husband, Fabian, a real knight in shining armor.
