Wow!!! This certainly was an unusual story and cast of characters. I think that if you really want to enjoy it, you'll have to be able to laugh out loud. It's definitely off the charts of most of the books I've read. Fun. Fun. Fun!!!!Product details

Watermelons is a well-written, delightful first YA novel by an author I'm sure we'll hear from again. Yerhmoyahu combines a unique view of science with an ability to create captivating characters, who react to the unusual premise of the story in a realistic and believable manner. What if we could talk to plants? What if they could answer? These are questions for a botanical electrophysiologist, and in case you don't know what that is, or what they do, you will find the answer to that question, along with several more in Watermelons.
A very enjoyable read, one that's hard to put down - or out of your mind. An amusing tale told in such a way as to tickle your funny bone as it's causing you to rethink some of the things you know to be true. Obviously, I enjoyed it, and hope for more from this author.
